Vitality is a behavior change programme that guides and motivates people toward better health. It combines insights from behavioral economics and clinical science to reward members for taking steps to understand and improve their health. Vitality operates three main business branches, each with distinct products and offerings. It spans 30 countries and serves over 35 million members.
I had the privilege of contributing to two unique products. Initially, I worked on a U.S.-focused product, designing for both progressive web apps and native mobile platforms. Later, I joined a global business group to help build a new third-generation app from the ground up. This case study focuses on the global app, which is available in 19 countries through partnerships with leading insurance companies.

My role included UX/UI design, interaction design, illustration, concept ideation workshops, and both qualitative and quantitative research. I also managed the design system, coordinated hand-offs with developers, conducted build testing, and handled final sign-offs.

Using variables and tokens, we templatized multiple app screens, making it easier to support configurations for different markets.

I maintained the design system by creating components, testing UI library builds, and signing off on components.
For testing purposes, I utilized tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, TestFlight, and HeadSpin.

To ensure build quality, I tested market-specific builds, logged defects, and collaborated with product and development teams to resolve issues. Defects were documented in Figma and the internal portal.
